Welcome to Scentchips® The Original Fragrance Melt.

Scentchips is a family owned and operated business that began in 1979 in a quest to create a better candle product. What began as a small endeavor has become a product that is now available all over the world. Our chips can be recognized by the patented leaf and flower shapes still used today.

In 1980, Scentchips opened its first factory, located in historic La Villita in downtown San Antonio. Visitors are welcomed daily to watch the chips being hand-made. Scentchips currently holds the second patent ever issued to a candle product.

In 2001, the Full Line Store program launched with the opening of a store just outside of Dayton, Ohio. There are now 25 locations across the United States as well as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan. Scentchips' corporate offices are stationed in San Antonio, Texas.

The Fragrance

Scentchips® strives to maintain a consistent, quality product by using only the highest quality materials, including paraffin and soy waxes, natural fragrance oils, and non-toxic vegetable dyes.

• Scentchips remain the strongest fragrance melt on the market due to an extremely high fragrance-to-wax ratio.
• Scentchips are always hand-poured, insuring the integrity and quality our customers have come to expect.
• Scentchips can be melted in a simmering pot, covering up to 3,000 sq.ft., or as a potpourri in small rooms, such as closets or restrooms.
